Where are they now? Update on Mark and His Spectacular Spaghetti Cafe

Last year we told the story of Mark, an aspiring “chef doctor” courageously battling leukemia.

We decided to check with Mark to see how he’s doing. We’re pleased to report that he’s doing very well and only has one more year of chemo to go. He had a brief hospital stay in early November due to side effects from an increase in his chemo medicine. Mark’s mom said he’s much better now and is looking forward to the holidays. But he’s looking forward even more to his “end of treatment” celebration: a family trip to Disney World.

Mark continues to support his local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, UNM Children’s Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. His face has shown proudly on store signs, he has made appearances at numerous fundraisers and he’s looking forward to being featured in the UNM Children’s Hospital Radiothon in 2020.
