Volcorp Sponsors CU4Kids Golf Tournament in Tennessee

VolCorp has become a corporate sponsor of the Credit Unions for Kids Golf Tournament.

The tournament is scheduled to take place on Aug. 16 at the Pine Creek Golf Course in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.

The golf tournament previously hosted by VolCorp during their annual conference, The Forum, will now become a part of the Credit Unions for Kids Tournament, VolCorp said.

“As a corporate sponsor of the tournament, VolCorp will help support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals with others in the credit union community,” the corporate CU said.

In announcing its sponsorship, VolCorp noted that its mission is to inspire credit unions to reach new heights by providing “dynamic payment solutions, custom investment services, and unparalleled member service,” adding it has been serving the credit union movement since 1981.

Credit Unions for Kids is a nonprofit collaboration of credit unions, chapters, leagues/associations and business partners from across the country, engaged in fundraising activities to benefit 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Credit unions are the fifth-largest sponsor of CMN Hospitals. Since 1996, CU4Kids has raised over $165 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, VolCorp noted.

A ’Natural Fit’

“Partnering with Credit Unions for Kids is a natural fit for us,” said President and CEO Jeff Merry. “The timing of our annual Forum coincides with the Credit Unions for Kids Golf Tournament. Instead of having a separate tournament for our event, our conference attendees will now have the opportunity to play in the Credit Unions for Kids Golf Tournament, thereby augmenting the overall contribution made to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.”

Added Ben Johnson, president and CEO of US Community Credit Union, “We are very pleased to have VolCorp as a corporate sponsor for the Credit Unions for Kids Golf Tournament. VolCorp has long been a strong partner with USCCU, providing products and services to better serve our members.”

Making a Difference

“VolCorp’s corporate sponsorship and staff involvement with the golf tournament will help make a difference in the lives of children for years to come,” said Ron Smith, president and CEO with Enbright Credit Union. “With VolCorp’s partnership and the increased CU4Kids Tournament attendance, we look forward to helping provide better lives for the children and families who deal with Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.”
