Northwest CUs lead the way in helping sick and injured kids

Christopher Turnis was not supposed to live more than just one hour after being born. Incredible doctors, nurses, research, and medical technology helped Christopher live through his diagnosis of posterior urethral valves (causes severe damage to kidneys and other organs). Today is he is a happy and active 13-year-old who enjoys basketball and video games.

In 2018, Northwest Credit Union Association and its member credit unions raised more than $2.5 million to help kids just like Christopher. Since 1996, credit unions across the country have raised more than $185 million through the Credit Unions for Kids program.
