Minnco Credit Union Shows Its Heart

Minnco Credit Union’s North Branch location’s “Wall of Fame” and part of the Minnco CU Team.

At the start of each year, engaged Credit Unions for Kids credit unions throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin show their heart for the mission of Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare by “selling” paper heart icons and red paper links to their members. Nineteen credit unions participated in this year’s “Chain of Hearts” campaign, decorating their lobbies with the red paper chains and colorful heart icons.

Driven to excel in this campaign, Minnco Credit Union expands its Chain of Hearts effort by selling various sized hearts to businesses and to its members. Minnco CU also holds dress up days for its employees, each day with a different fun engaging theme. This increases conversations between members and staff, drawing attention to their heart campaign. 

Minnco’s CEO, Doug Hallstrom (3rd from right), challenged his staff that if they surpassed their goal, he’d take a pie in the face from the team member who sold the most hearts. Team member, Sheila (4th from right) won that honor. Congrats and Thank You to the members and team at Minnco Credit Union for surpassing their 2020 goal and raising $24,300 through their Chain of Hearts campaign!
