And The Winner of the Commitment Pledge Challenge Is…

On June 2nd, Credit Unions for Kids hosted a 25 Year Anniversary Virtual Event to celebrate over $150 million raised by the credit union industry for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. During the event, the industry was offered a challenge: sign a pledge to commit to the continued support of CU4Kids and have a chance to donate $10,000 to your local children’s hospital; sponsored by CO-OP Financial Services.

We are excited to announce that the random winner is…..

Delilah at Neches FCU.

Delilah is a Recapture Loan Officer and has been at Neches for six years. Delilah had this to say about winning the donation:

“Earlier this year, I was blessed with twins. My babies came almost five weeks early and because of their early arrival, they spent some time in the NICU at our local CMN Hospital, Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.

The NICU at Christus St. Elizabeth was amazing! I felt at ease knowing that my babies were in such good hands while being cared for. Fast forward to six months later and my babies are happy, healthy and full of life.

Knowing that this donation will be used to help provide the best care for other pediatric patients in need is such a wonderful feeling.”

Delilah decided to distribute the $10,000 to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX.

Jason Landry, the President and CEO at Neches FCU says, “CMN Hospitals/Credit Unions for Kids is near and dear to the hearts of Neches employees as it is our primary nonprofit collaboration. We are honored to have been selected as the recipient of this generous donation to our local CMN Hospital, Christus St. Elizabeth, and we are so proud of our employees for their commitment to supporting Credit Unions for Kids.”

“Congratulations to Delilah, Neches FCU, and Christus St. Elizabeth!” says Nick Coleman, Director of Strategic Partners at CMN Hospitals. “Thank you to everyone that signed the pledge to Commit to CU4Kids; and thank you to CO-OP Financial Services for sponsoring the challenge. We are so proud of the relationship our organization has with one of the most generous industries that exist and look forward to continue working together to Change Kids’ Health and Change the Future.”

The process to choose the winner at random was by using an online random number generator and comparing the random number against an excel spreadsheet with rows of each commitment pledge submission. The random number generated was 309, correlating to Delilah’s row.
