Santa Helps Credit Unions Raise Funds for Hurley Children’s Hospital

This holiday season, Hurley Children’s Hospital chose to ride the wave of momentum which had been previously created by the “Vote for Miracles” campaign by partnering with local credit unions to launch its first-ever social media-based giving campaign: #SantaCares.

Thanks to a collaboration with CMN Strategic Partner, FrontStream, each credit union’s #SantaCares sponsorship gave them access to a custom fundraising page that was set up to assist them with their development efforts and provide them with real-time donation tracking.

The participating credit unions were also provided with a co-branded media library created by the Hurley Children’s Hospital team. This media library was filled with unique content of Santa visiting with kids at the hospital and was used by the credit unions to promote their fundraising goal on all major platforms. The images and videos used throughout the campaign were truly breathtaking and were, without a doubt, essential to the success of the overall campaign.

Due to the passion and commitment of the community, kids at Hurley Children’s Hospital have received $40,418 from the #SantaCares campaign and local credit unions were responsible for bringing in over 50% of it!

From hosting internal fundraisers to making handmade blankets to purchasing several new mamaRoo units for the NICU, to supporting the Hurley Children’s Hospital “Glow for Miracles” event and beyond, credit union teams in the greater Flint area truly embodied the credit union mission of people helping people this holiday season.
