Pay It Forward with Hughes Federal Credit Union

TMC for Children is honored to be chosen as a beneficiary of the Pay it Forward with Hughes promotion. From now until July 31, Hughes Federal Credit Union is donating a portion of proceeds from all debit card transactions* to four local non-profits. You can support us just by using your Hughes debit card for your everyday transactions.

Pay it Forward with Hughes and you can help kids like Aaliyah. She arrived at the TMC for Children Pediatric Emergency department after a few days of not feeling well. An MRI determined she had a ruptured appendix, she started to experience enormous pain, the ruptured appendix had caused infectious pockets which meant Aaliyah needed surgery immediately. Aaliyah had several surgeries during her three weeks in the hospital and spent much of her time in the Pediatric ICU. she couldn’t get out of bed due severe pain from the infection. A physical therapy team worked with Aaliyah until she was able to walk.  Aaliyah is now a strong 15-year-old who enjoys martial arts. She, too, has become part of a caring village, joining the TMC Teen Advisory Council, a community of teens that gives input on what makes a great hospital visit.
